The short answer

2houses is a co-parenting app from Belgium with a shared calendar, expenses, messages, a journal and an information bank. It costs €99 a year per family after a 14-day trial, and one subscription covers both parents – fairer than apps where each parent pays.

MamaPapaWeek focuses on the part most families open every day: the custody schedule. It is free, works without registering the whole family, and the other parent simply opens a link.

2houses vs MamaPapaWeek

2houses prices and features as listed on its official website on 2 October 2026 (prices in app stores may differ).

What you get with MamaPapaWeek

When 2houses is the better choice

If your family has been paying mainly for the calendar, MamaPapaWeek can replace that part for free – and you can keep messaging in whatever app you already use.

Moving your schedule over

  1. Open MamaPapaWeek and pick the rotation you use in 2houses.
  2. Choose the next handover day and who has the children now; check the year preview.
  3. Save and share the link with the other parent. Swaps and holidays can be added later with one tap.

FAQ

Is there a completely free plan?

Yes. The schedule, sharing via link or QR code, the PDF calendar and the calendar subscription are free with no time limit. The Standard plan (€19 a year per family) adds editing by the second parent, change history and up to five calendars.

Can both parents edit the schedule?

In the free plan one parent edits and everyone with the link can view. Shared editing is part of the Standard plan.

Can I import my calendar from 2houses?

There is no direct import. Because MamaPapaWeek works with rotations, recreating your schedule usually takes less than two minutes.

Is my data stored in the EU?

Yes. The data is stored on servers in the European Union.
